This program is for WOMEN & MEN of all ages. Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones, while practicing interesting & enjoyable focused skills. Through their repeated application in a non-intimidating, controlled and supportive environment your instincts will be developed and your confidence will be improved. No martial arts or fighting experience is needed to participate.

Program objectives:
•Develop the instincts to survive an assault
•harness the energy of the fight or flight response
•recognize and avoid potentially harmful places & situations
•walk or talk your way out of a potentially violent situation
•learn how to escape front & back chokes and holds
•Learn where to hit & how to hit with your body parts
•Understand Legal ramifications of your actions
Your Instructor: Joe Bubenas is a Health & Physical Education
Professor at Hofstra University where he develops & teaches
martial-arts based programs founded on research and practical
application. He holds a black belt in Tang Soo Do Karate & has
been studying & teaching marital arts for over 30 years. Joe is
also a faculty member of the City University of New York.
